IT Client Support Specialist
PBNJ Consulting Inc. was founded in 2001 and currently supports the IT systems of various organizations across the GTA. We work in a dynamic and fast pace environment and encourage a fun and open atmosphere, suited for driven and self-motivated individuals. We are currently in need of an IT Client Support Specialist that would report to our head office, but be forward deployed to our clients’ offices and support their IT environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, configure and deploy Microsoft Windows workstations
  • Install, configure and maintain software applications on user workstations
  • Answer user emails and phone requests for technical assistance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user technical issues (remote and onsite)
  • Install, configure and maintain mobile devices – Android, iPhone, BlackBerry
  • Maintain inventory and relevant documentation
  • Complete maintenance checklists to upkeep and maintain Windows servers
  • Monitor critical applications, such as Mail services, Backups and AntiVirus
  • Maintain VPN and remote access services
  • Escalate major issues and project requests to the appropriate specialists
  • Assist with deployments and migrations of hardware and software
  • Work with vendors to acquire quotes and procure hardware/software for clients
  • Keep a complete daily time log

Skills:

  • Windows 7 + Desktop
  • Microsoft Office Suites
  • Workstation hardware fundamentals
  • Some experience with Mac computers and other Apple related products
  • Experience in installing and configuring printers, and other computer peripherals
  • Understanding of Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012 + and Active Directory
  • Understainding of AntiVirus, AntiSPAM and AntiMalware Applications
  • Understanding of Cloud-based email services
  • Understanding of Cloud-based storage solutions
  • Understanding of Backup Systems
  • Understanding of Firewalls and VPNs

Qualifications:

  • College/CEGEP/Vocational or Technical training
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Microsoft certification is a plus

Other requirements:

  • Some after-hour work will be required, though this is often scheduled in advance
  • Must have a car and be mobile throughout the GTA
